Headworks Fine Screens
The OR-TEC Blue Whale Micro Bar Screen is a superfine mechanical bar screen with openings as small as 1mm (0.03"). Removing the vast majority of hairs, rags and stringy material which pass through screens with larger openings. Smaller openings help to prevent matting or ragging forming on items such as pumps, mechanical seals, diffusers and rotating equipment. Unlike normal bar screens which use flat bar making the openings between the bars prone to clogging the Micro Bar Screen uses a parallel array of tapered sectioned bars (not tapered wire) to form the screen face.
Grit Removal System
The OR-TEC True Grit Systems are used in the separation and removal of sand and grit from the influent of wastewater treatment plants. The system features an in-ground concrete tank with mechanical mixers and paddles manufactured from stainless steel. These mixers and paddles create a vortex which settles the grit/sand. An air pump removes the settled concentrated grit to a grit classifier system where further settling and consolidation of the grit occurs. The classifier then elevates and washes the grit prior to disposal.
DAF Floatation Thickeners
The OR-TEC DAF is available in stainless steel, epoxy coated or plastic tanks. Their design has a simple and extremely cost effective solution. The HF Series is uniquely designed for the removal of fat, grease and suspended solids from food, industrial and municipal wastewater. It automatically isolates these materials from the liquid waste, making them suitable for separate disposal while increasing plant performance. The removal of these materials greatly decreases pollution loadings and makes the effluent suitable for disposal to public sewers. In addition, the high oxygen transfer rate facilitated by the special aerator provides for oxidation of sulfides.
Belt Presses
The OR-TEC Belt Press can come in may different sizes, such as their Gemini, a double belt system ideal for the medium to large size WWTP. The unit has a large flocculation tank with a variable speed mixer which allows the sludge and polymer solution to be thoroughly mixed. The variable speed mixer allows operators to easily change the mixing energy which helps ensure the best possible flocculation. Designs are also available in single, and double belt with their Xpress & Mark II Belt presses
Screw Presses
The OR-TEC Rocker® Screw Press utilizes a central screw, a rocking multi-disc filter and variable back pressure plate to increase pressure on flocculated sludge and produce an exceptionally dry cake. There is no physical contact between the screw and the multi-disc filter or between each disc in the filter which prevents unnecessary wear and tear. With low electrical, water and polymer usage, and high solids cake and capture rates the system is very cost effective, easy to install, operate and maintain. An excellent solution for small to medium size plants where babysitting equipment is not an option and reliable, high quality equipment is a must.
Gravity Belt Thickeners
